Fanuc Robot Programmer - Contract – Luton (UK) – 6 weeks - €Negotiable Our customer based in Luton (UK) is looking for contract Robot Programmers with previous Opel Global Standards / GCCS2 Standards experience to support their project using Fanuc robots. As a Robot Programmer you will be representing our customer on site and will be an integral part of the team. Responsibilities of a Robot Programmer include; > Developing new programming applications to meet cycle times, > Collaborating with electrical engineers, PLC engineer, process engineers and other staff, > Customer focused, liaising with clients, suppliers, as well as contract engineers, > Share technical knowledge and experience to provide optimal solution, > Commissioning Robot OLP's and providing feedback to Simulation Engineers where required, > Act as an ambassador for the company at all times. This opportunity as a contract Robot Programmer requires a minimum of five years previous proven experience of developing and commissioning robot programmes. Previous experience with Opel Global Standards / GCCS2 Standards is highly desirable. Fanuc experience is Essential. Requirements: You must have practical experience performing inspection on aircraft seats. The inspections will be performed to engineering requirements specified per ANSI Y14.5 – Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) or equivalent standard.You must have the ability to read / interpret engineering drawings and purchase orders, and have experience using various mechanical inspection tools, such as micrometers and calipers. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years experience performing inspections in aerospace or military / defence manufacturing with proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel. You should be computer savvy and own a laptop for this assignment. Must be able to pass background and eye exam screenings as well as complete initial orientation/training with customer representatives onsite

This role could suit CNC Turner, or CNC Machinist with experience of CNC Turning Duties include: Setting and Operating CNC machines Inspect components after machining using manual measuring equipment - Micrometers, Verniers, etc. Producing a wide range of components in small batches, to tight tolerances Requirements: All candidates must have previous experience of using CNC machines gained in a precision machine shop. All candidates must have a relevant technical qualification in engineering such as City & Guilds (or NVQ/HNC/ONC). Ability to read engineering drawings is essential. A time-served engineering craft apprenticeship would be desirable. Plus expereince of using Conventional machines is also desirable. From June 2019, their products are being trialled airside at Heathrow Airport with a long-term plan to being rolled out across Heathrow and other major UK airports. As a result, they a looking for an Operations Manager to join the on a fixed term basis between June and September 2019. The ideal candidate will have previous aviation experience working airside on and around the ramp and probably have come from a ramp/operational background with a ground handler, airline or airside operations company. You will need to be self-motivated, proactive and committed and have excellent written and communication skills. This is a standalone role initially, based at Heathrow supporting several airlines initially on a 4-month contract working typically a 40-hour week Monday to Friday, however there may be the need to do additional hours as required. Whilst initially for a contract, this role could potentially develop into a full-time role, offering the prospects of bringing on a team both at Heathrow and other major UK airports.
