Responsibilities The main duties of an Aircraft Cleaner are to clean interior areas of the aircraft cabin including the removal of blankets, vacuuming aircraft carpets, wipe down tables, walls, overhead bins, windows and remove rubbish from seat pockets. Duties include but are not limited to: * Cleaning the aircraft washrooms and replenishing toiletries * Removing and disposing of waste, clearing litter * Cleaning interior surfaces * Replacing seat covers Person Specification * No experience is necessary, however ideally you would have commercial cleaning experience * Knowledge of cleaning materials, supplies and COSHH would be preferred * Be flexible with working hours (able to workdays, nights & weekends) * Must be hardworking & reliable with an excellent work ethic * Have no unspent criminal convictions Requirements Due to the location of work being at the airport you must qualify. Therefore, we need the following information from you: * 5-year checkable history (employment, self-employment, education or benefit claim) * 5-year checkable address history * Valid photo ID (Driving licence accepted for British citizens) * If you are successful at interview, you will be DBS Checked Health & Safety * You are required to complete a Security exam and therefore need to display you understand Health & Safety practices, so you will need to demonstrate you have a good understanding and communicate clearly in both written and verbal English. * There is an element of manual handling of materials including pushing and pulling of equipment. The ideal candidate must be able to respond to verbal instruction and be self-motivated. Qualifications and Skills: Experience in preparation of composites would be an advantage; however previous automotive body shop or aircraft experience would be suitable. Competent in all aspects of paint preparation, masking, panel preparation and flat polishing lacquered panels to a very high standard. Work part of a small team producing finished components used in VIP aircraft interiors.
