My client is looking for an experienced Project Controls Manager to join their rapidly growing consultancy group within the Defence Industry. Our client specialises in providing analysis and decision support for large complex MOD cost projects. The purpose of this role is to support a Defence HAWK 2020 bid development and transitional programme within the MOD. The successful individual will need to have a proven track record, in developing support solutions and transitioning organisations. You will be improving the pace of solution design and innovation, maximising efficiency opportunity to reduce costs and improve the programmes effectiveness. You will influence and enforce positive enterprise behaviours to develop relationships within the consortium, based on trust, innovation and partnership, so strong relationship management skills are essential. You will be able to deliver effective communication between stakeholder groups and chair meetings when required. You will enable the development of transitional arrangements to assure Hawk availability through the change programme and add value to enhance the development of the capability or reliability modifications through life support. The main base of thr assignments will be at a Aerospace base in Samlesbury with occasional travel to Bristol. This role will be offered as a 9 month fixed term contract with a salary between £45k - £55k (DOE) + holidays. My client is looking for a Lead Scheduler to join their rapidly growing group within the Defence Industry. Our client specialises in providing analysis and decision support for large complex MOD cost projects. You will ideally have worked in the defence industry as a Senior Scheduler and hold current security clearance. You will be working with the Maritime Customer Organisation (the Dreadnought Alliance) to ensure defence schedules integrate with the “Alliance”, including forecasting, baselining and dependency management. You will integrate supplier schedules into EVMS (Earned Value Management) and provide solution for information provided under the Polaris Sales Agreement. You will have a proven track record of running monthly drumbeat process, so that the schedule is up to date ready to send to the Alliance, with relevant schedule narrative. You may at times be required to upskill junior members of the scheduling team and ensure that all work in schedules represents the work being undertaken both internal and external. This roles requires someone to be based at Abbeywood in Bristol, but may require occasional visits to other MOD sites in the UK. This role will be offered as 8 month fixed term contract with a salary between £50k - 650k (DOE) + holidays. Possible Extension. Marine Electrician for a busy ship builder based in Portsmouth. This person with be working from electrical schematics as well as investigation and diagnostics of existing of equipment. You will be able to install, fault find and repair electrical installations, including motor starters and equipment control panels to an exacting standard. Must have proven experience working within the marine industry. Responsibilities: * Install cable support systems. * Run and dress cabling in an extremely neat fashion. * Install control cabinet enclosures. * Test your own work to recognised standards (IEE 17th Test and Inspect). * Assist other departments with their temporary power requirements taking into account electrical loads and distances involved. * Assist the commissioning engineers and take an active role in commissioning equipment Requirements: * Apprentice trained or NVQ Level 3. * A proven track record in a marine electrical role. * Experience with 3-phase, motors, motor starters, distribution systems. * Previous experience of working on new build vessels * Extremely neat work
