I am looking for an experienced Packaging Project and Design Manager, based in Port Sunlight, you will be working for one of the worlds leading and largest FMCG Manufacturing organisations. You are responsible for the design and delivery of packaging for focused brands through innovation, renovation, sustainability and cost savings initiatives. Working with Brand, Planning, Formulation, Procurement, Quality, Supply Chain, and many external suppliers. The ability to drive the R&D strategy agenda and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams is essential. You will be responsible for; *Managing brand packaging. *Delivering packaging that meets required quality and technical standards, and also delights the consumer, builds brand love, through using best practices *Leading innovation projects and build brand packaging capability *Connect consumer, business, and category needs and the relationship to packaging decisions & execution. *Project management experience - you will be influencing stakeholders and innovations teams to land best-in-class packaging for Europe You will have; * B.S. Degree (Packaging Science, Materials Science, Engineering or Technical Management equivalent) and 3+ years in the packaging field with management experience, preferably in the FMCG industry. *Must demonstrate leadership throughout packaging development process, partnering with Brand and the cross functional project team, ensuring packaging is fit for purpose and delivered on time, in full *A creative, logical and analytical mind set to generate innovative design solutions to technical challenges. *Must demonstrate a general understanding of project management to realise the order, importance, and impact of project activities as it relates to package design process. *Must understand consumer, business, and category needs and the relationship to product design decisions & execution. An entrepreneurial mind set is advantageous. *Enthusiasm and self-motivation with great verbal and written communication skills. Project Engineer – Vehicle Electrical Systems Competitive hourly rate (UMB/LTD) Contract position West Sussex An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Engineer on an initial 3-month contract for our client based in the West Sussex area. They are looking for a Project Engineer to own technical and project delivery support of electrical systems within the Engineering Group for products on multiple programs. Key Responsibilities * Ownership of the technical development of vehicle electrical systems (automotive and comms). * Approval of all order delivery timescales in conjunction with the Project and Supply Chain Managers. * Confirmation of build specifications – including sign off of Build BoM Resourcing Plan. * Provision of technical direction to the Production Manager. * Relationship management between Electrical Systems Lead Design Engineer, Commercial, Supply Chain Manager and Production Manager. * Reporting on weekly production milestones against a master production schedule. * Reporting on weekly production status and stock levels of key components. * Management of production issues, risks and opportunities. * Identification and planning of resources needed to support bespoke build orders to meet agreed delivery dates. Experience/Knowledge * Line management experience in low volume production. * Electrical engineering background gained in the Defence, Automotive or Aerospace industries. * Experience of vehicle electrical power generation, storage and distribution * Experience of vehicle EMC, Tempest and comms integration. * Experience of dealing with challenging customers. * Understanding of system integration and configuration management. * The satisfactory achievement of project milestones schedules and budgets. * Strong negotiation skills. * Use of project management software tools such as SAP, ERP systems. Qualifications * Suitable Electrical Engineering qualification (ONC/HNC/Degree or equivalent) or relevant experience. * Professional project and management qualifications (APMP/PRINCE 2). * Business improvement qualifications or practical experience of tools (LEAN). Areas of responsibility include but not limited to: To be the owner of the demand plans for the allocated business area. Maintain the Manugistics system with updates sales forecasts and prepare monthly forecast accuracy KPI’s. To continuously improve forecast accuracy using historical data and other insights gained through regular communication with the commercial teams and their distributors. Work with commercial teams to continuously improve current demand planning process and information exchanges with distributors, liaising with other functions, ie. customer service, supply planning and IT) as required to ensure processes are ready to accommodate the planned business growth. Run SAP unconsumed forecast report and agree realignments or cancellations with commercial teams to ensure proactive and correct prioritisation of requirements for optimal customer service and inventory levels. Create presentation material content for the S & OP Meetings. Proactively supply information to support and encourage continuous forecast improvement. Key player in the S & OP process and will work with the whole Supply Chain planning team to lead improvements to the process in Europe.
