Holt Executive are currently partnered with a global leading communication provider who have a requirement for a Senior Project Manager for an initial 3 month assignment.
Working within the GroupIT team, the Senior Project Manager will be required to lead teams to deliver project(s) that span across one or more business units. Manage resources, schedules, and financials and adhere to stage gate quality and SDLC control guidelines throughout the full systems development life cycle. This also includes management of issues, risks and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery.
Key Responsibilities for the Senior Project Manager:
Develop and manage all aspects of project and program engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks and issues
Manage a portfolio of complex initiatives that span one or multiple lines of business
Provide leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones
Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneously
Manage all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall program is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives
Identify and develop trusted adviser relationship with project and program stakeholders, and sponsors
Report on project success criteria results, metrics, test and deployment management activities, communicating across leadership
Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence
Work as part of a wider team of project managers to collaboratively develop and continuously improve standard project governance process and procedures along with ongoing complianceQUALIFICATIONS
Essential Knowledge and Skills:
Strong experience working in an IT role, comprising of a proven track record of successful project management delivering IT solutions.
Experience in project delivery using Waterfall, Agile, and SCRUM
Experience working with outsourced and internal delivery units
Excellent inter-personal and communication skills with ability to build relationships with technical, business and senior management stakeholders
Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple business and technology organizations
Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence
Flexible with proven ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Ability to produce project documentation - project charters, work breakdown structure, risk logs, change management etc.
Experience influencing and gaining buy-in from executives sponsors, team members, stakeholders and peers
Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands
Support diverse and inclusive work environment i.e. off-shore, remote work locations, etc. Desirable Knowledge and Skills:
Experience in the telecommunication industry and related IT systems.
Experience using Microsoft Project / MS Project Server
