Javascript Test Automation Developer 

Fully Remote/ £250 per day / Outside IR35

• Strong Javascript experience alongside an ability to work with HTML/CSS (and preprocessors)
• Understanding of TDD/BDD principles & unit/functional testing practices

ABOUT THE ROLE 
• As a Test Automation Engineer you will join an Agile development team that specialise in Front End and API development with a focus on creating test automation test suites with JavaScript. 
• You will be employing BDD principles during development utilising tools such as Cucumber/TestCafe. 
• You'll be an integral part of the development process, supporting the BDD integration and collaborating with the client, analysts and engineers across the software development lifecycle.
• The product is a brand new web application for the transport industry.  You will be working alongside both a React front-end development team and a backend (PHP-Symfony) development group
• As part of the role you will also be supporting test cycle execution and working directly with the end client on test results, defects and resolution tracking

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Support the business with Acceptance Criteria definition (BDD Gherkin based definition)
• Automation, in Javascript, from the acceptance criteria into front-end tests using Cucumber and TestCafe in Javascript
• Automation of Non-Functional testing, such as performance tests, using tools Artillery and Blazemeter 
• Support test cycles execution, collating test results, defects and evidencing 
• Providing input to Test Working groups and feedback with client

Tester £400 per day (6 Months+ / Option of working from Remote / Outside IR35)

Length of contract: 6 months+

Greenfield project! Opportunity to work in a small team to test and deliver a series of projects that will sit at the heart of a new system for the transport industry. You will be working alongside a small dev and UX team in a, long established, non-corporate and friendly agency outside of IR35 with a flat organizational structure that doesn’t care about titles and hierarchy.

100% Remote/ Outside IR35

Greenfield project!  Opportunity to work in a small team to engineer a web application that will sit at the heart of a new system for the transport industry.   You will be working alongside a backend dev and UX team in a long established, non-corporate and friendly agency outside of IR35 with a flat organizational structure.  Location: Remote working unless you are based around Bristol or Penzance and want to work in an office environment.

Your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Implement the UI coming from the designers
  • Implement web applications for desktops, tablets and smartphones
  • Use the best practices to guarantee the best quality and availability of the web applications
  • Develop and maintain UI components shared between different projects
  • Maintain the global state of the application using unit testing

Must Haves (pls don't apply if you don't have below) 

  • 10 years of extensive experience of front-end application design and implementation using REACT
  • Expert skills in HTML/CSS (and preprocessors)/Javascript (as associated frameworks)
  • Experience with Storybook

Key responsibilities: 
Provide end support to our Managed Service customers
Assist with escalations from the wider Service Desk
Maintain full 24/7 coverage for our customers to maximise uptime and prevent reoccurring issues
Deal with incoming incidents in a professional, courteous manner over the phone and via email
Take ownership of incidents and manage them in a logical and methodical manner, taking responsibility for the end-to-end management of incidents in your queue while proactively keeping the customer informed of progress
Deliver project excellence on customer sites by working with Project Managers to ensure all Projects are delivered on time and within budget
