We are currently looking for a Quality Engineer to join a medical device company in Sheffield on a 12-month contract. As the Quality Engineer you will be responsible for overseeing the quality of a new product development project.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Quality Engineer will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. As the Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for providing a high level of innovative skills and knowledge in specific technical areas including NPD where you will be assisting with the creation of medical device products.
2.As the Quality Engineer, you will be working and adhering to the company's procedures using computer aided manufacturing (CAM) and developing and implementing quality standards.
3.You will be working and contributing on the EU Medical Device Regulation transition program where you will be specifying product designs and influencing the choice of raw materials and working closely with the R&D team.
4.You will be responsible for ensuring that work flows, processes, and products comply with safety regulations whilst reviewing codes, specifications, and processes.
To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Quality Engineer we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. Relevant degree in a Biomedical Engineering or Engineering equivalent. HND will be considered.
2. Proven industry experience in the Medical Device industry is preferred but would consider other regulated manufacturing environments including Automotive & Pharmaceutical.
3. A working knowledge and practical experience within Quality Engineer Engineering, New Product Development & CAM is essential.
