Our client, a well-known environmental consultancy, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to work on a major infrastructure project in the Birmingham area. Reporting to the Director; you will have ultimate responsibility for overseeing multiple sites including habitat creation, earthworks and species translocation. Description of Activities to be undertaken • Coordinate multiple Ecological & Environmental projects within the Northern Section of HS2. • Coordination with the main contractor, client and subcontractors • Overseeing a team of Site Managers, Supervisors and back office support staff • Communicate, liaise and attend regular meetings with clients, ensuring projects are running smoothly and all risks are identified and resolved effectively • Responsible for the coordination of the activities within the sections and provide program updates on a weekly basis • Monitor and maintain performance in relation to the company policies and procedures, including adherence to Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality Control standards of the high standard • Identification of risks and opportunities within the sector and provide a mitigation measures and strategic plans as required • Prepare presentations and lead the delivery of them. • Deliver projects on time, within budget and with a high standard of quality Minimum Qualifications Needed for Role • Experience with NEC3 forms of contract • Excellent communication, personal planning and interpersonal skills • Resilient and open personality, comfortable working with all levels of the organisation and operational team • Preference for qualification to degree level in Civil Engineering (HNC/HND also considered with relevant experience), some of which should have been gained working in a similar sector • Microsoft Office proficient Terms • 6 month contract with opportunity to extend or applications for permanent hire to be considered • Start date: 1 September or sooner
