JavaScript developer, React, Redux, Node, Styled-components Senior JavaScript Developer required for new team to help lead the build of a brand new Identity Access Management (IAM) platform for a global restaurant brand. Working in a purpose-built scrum/product team alongside Front end, Backend, DevOps and QA Engineers, the JavaScript Developer will own the Front End and any Node microservices underneath this. You will be responsible for helping to define the architecture, the setting, and enforcing of best practices and leading development as a hands-on engineer in the team. The standard Front-End stack for the company is React + Redux with JavaScript written exclusively in ES6+ (with heavy use of ES7) via Babel. Whilst the core stack is defined, this being a new platform the team have scope to push forward with new technology and the plan is to adopt Styled-components for all CSS, typical of a company that are consistently up-to-date with new technology and approaches. We are looking for someone capable of hitting the ground running. You'll need prior experience of React + Redux and have strong understanding of testing such set-ups (traditionally they use enzyme, mocha and chai). It's not just about JavaScript though and as the Lead for the Front End you will need a deep knowledge of modern approaches and best practices in HTML/CSS although Styled-components you can learn on the job with the team.
