Team Manager Vacancy - Liverpool I am currently working with a prestige national client who are recruiting for Team Managers for a large Distribution Centre based in Liverpool Leading a team of up to 40 Colleagues daily and 150 in peak periods my client is looking for talented individuals with line management experience to achieve the shift/weekly work targets through the effective motivation and utilisation of the team which supports in the overall delivery to a great customer experience. Being a Team Manager your main responsibilities will include: Maintaining a high standard of communication through team briefing, consultation, employee reviews and one-to-one conversations. Improving operational performance in service, cost and colleagues in line with agreed approach ensuring sustainable change. Maintaining operational compliance to all agreed processes ensuring all Team Members work accordingly. Assisting in the selection of future team members, ensuring full functional training is carried out; identify further training needs and ensure effective training is carried out to maintain operational efficiency. Controlling and allocating work, monitoring progress to ensure hourly/daily/shift workload/tasks are completed, keeping senior management fully informed of any operational issues. To be successful in this role we ask that you: Are ideally educated to GCSE standard, with qualifications in English and Maths. Can demonstrate previous line management experience, preferably within a Logistics/Distribution environment. Have a solid understanding of how the functions within a warehouse interact and influence customer service.  Showcase strong inter-personal skills and ability to lead a team through effective motivation Are competent with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc...) Have previous experience of grievance and disciplinary procedures.  Demonstrate good commercial acumen with the ability to understand basic budgets and cost controls and how their departmental performance influences them. Assistant Financial Controller Contract, 3 months + Liverpool Start ASAP This is an exciting opportunity for an Financial Controller to join an established organisation as a contractor. You will be required to support the Finance team in producing the annual company report & accounts and identify/develop improvements to the reporting process. You will also maintain an appropriate financial control environment including coordinating sign off on key controls and review of balance sheet reconciliations and assist in the coordination of the external audit on an annual basis. Responsibilities will also include; Work with the project manager to deliver the Annual Report & Accounts in a timely and efficient manner to required level of quality and detail including preparing a verification file as information is received Oversee the production of statutory accounts including understanding of key movements and balances and review of year-end adjustments and journals. Produce monthly scheme accounts and on a quarterly basis incorporate all relevant risk disclosures Identify and develop improvements to the reporting process where manual journals could be replaced with system developments or enhancements Maintain financial control library including high level process maps, risk statements, key control documentation and procedure libraries ensuring an annual review and a process for governance of ongoing or ad-hoc changes Coordinate and review balance sheet reconciliations on a regular basis ensuring issues are identified, tracked and resolved and reconciliations are of the appropriate quality Agree annual timetable and kick off meetings with external auditors Arrange for prepared by client list to be agreed with named individuals and agreed due dates Hold regular meetings with external audit to resolve issues and ensure audit is completed on time Technical CompetenciesSkills and Experience The ideal candidate will hold a professional accounting qualification such as ACA or ACCA or equivalent.
