An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a well-established team who provide support to people with a Learning Disability in Bury. In this post you will be required to work with customers in a broad range of situations and ranging complexities, working towards enabling customers to take charge of their own lives and manage their situations effectively. The Social worker should be able to: - Manage conflicting priorities - Make quick evidence based decisions to enforce a safe and effective journey vulnerable adults - Be able maintain and develop links with partners and ensure robust pathways and communication channels are in place - Positively support Operational Management and work well with change and service development Duties of the social worker will include: - Provide a duty and screening role to manage and prioritise referrals into the service. - Undertake social care assessments for people eligible to the service being discharged from hospital, those living in the community and those moving from secure settings. - Undertake person centred support planning to meet identified needs using a strength based approach. - Implement personalised safeguarding protection plans. - Work closely with service users, their family/carers and other relevant professionals and providers as part of a multi-disciplinary team. - Experience in practice and/or working knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, Human Rights Act, Deprivation of Liberty and Court of Protection. You will need to be a confident communicator, quick to learn, have a real can-do approach, demonstrate sound professional knowledge which in turn will be used to support and guide others, particularly with regard to current legislation including that of Safeguarding Adults. The team at Bury council will support you with formal and informal supervision and provide opportunities to learn and develop skills on the job working closely with the wider operational management team. We’re looking for electricians who have experience on electrical wiring of domestic heating installs. You will be working within domestic properties carrying out electrical wirings for Eon’s private customers who have just had a new central heating system installed, following the heating installers once they have completed the heating install. You must be able to sign off on a small works certificate, so you must be either NAPIT, NICEIC, PART P registered. You will be working on a schedule of rates for each job. Eon survey all their own installs themselves and provide full design and install information on HHU system prior to all jobs.
