Summary: We are MP Smarter Travel, a London-based sustainability consultancy. We are looking for an experienced and organised cyclist to install and collect air quality monitoring test tubes in front of 96 schools around London Borough of Croydon. As we are monitoring air quality levels, we feel that it is essential that our approach to project delivery uses zero emissions transport. For the geographic area covered, the bicycle is the ideal mode of transport. The project will run from March to December 2020, with work to be delivered in the first week of each month. This is a part time, flexible hours position in which you can set your own schedule. For a strong cyclist, we expect that the work will take around 20-30 hours per month. This job is ideal for a strong and experienced cyclist with an interest in air quality, looking for flexible work that mainly takes place outdoors. Role and responsibilities: Receive deliveries of nitrogen dioxide test tubes and store in your refrigerator Organise route and travel to schools by bicycle Install nitrogen dioxide test tubes at 96 schools every month and collect existing tubes Track and label all tubes Post tubes to lab for analysis Liaise with project manager to update on progressTubes will be installed outside of school property, on lamp columns and other surfaces near school grounds. You will not need to enter school grounds to install tubes.
