Migration Engineer (Exchange Online) – Liverpool - £400 per day This is an immediate requirement and can only consider candidates will one weeks notice at most An experienced Messaging Engineer is sought for a client based in the Liverpool area to complete an O365 Migration from Exchange 2016 to Exchange Online for just under 800 users. This industry leading client has recently invested heavily in updating their infrastructure and require some assistance to get the final stages of the project completed. As the O365 Engineer you’ll be responsible for migrating across just under 800 users from Exchange 2016 across to Exchange Online / Office 365. You’ll be required to test the migration beforehand and then ensure all documentation is completed to a high standard. Principal Town Planning Officer Carrington West are assisting their local authority client based in the South EastLondon with their search for an Principal Planning Officer to join their Major Applications Team (Development Management) on an initial 6 month contract. There are numerous large strategic development sites in the London Borough, which the team deals with, as well as all other major developments within the Borough. Often these sites have quite a lot of constraints such as contamination, proximity to protected wharves and other noise and pollution sources, proximity to established residential areas, flood risk, hazardous installations and/or Aviation safeguarding. My client is looking for someone who can deal with these complex issues with minimum supervision. The officers should have had experience with: • Major applications from pre-application stage through to determination; • Dealing and negotiating S106 Agreements; • Negotiating affordable housing and working with external consultants on scrutinising viability assessments to maximise affordable housing provision; • Presenting items to Committees; • Liaising with external and internal consultees, Members of the public and Members of the Council; • Dealing with Planning Performance Agreements; • Appeal experience (written representations, hearings and public inquires) Working hours would be 35 per week with the hourly rate commensurate with experience. We are currently looking to speak with Maritime Safety Engineers who are members of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science & Technology (IMarEST). You will be expected to work alongside the client supporting them with the following: Product Safety Cases: * Consultancy to authors of Safety Board or Safety Control Board papers on; what should be considered within papers, how the key Safety message(s) should be articulated, whether it is appropriate for the matter to be submitted to the board and if not support author to ensure it is correctly recorded. * Review Safety Control Board papers on a monthly basis and provide comments in advance to the Chair in order to provide a level of confidence that impacts (either positive or negative) to the Safety Case has been considered. * Consultancy and advice to Safety Case Owners with developing, maintaining and reviewing the Safety Cases. Ensuring the correct process is followed and verifying results. Tenderer is not expected to confirm technical accuracy of the results; the Safety Case Owner will obtain this assurance from appropriate technical subject matter experts. * The successful tenderer would not be required to write Safety Cases. The Safety Engineer would support Safety Case Owners including support with periodic Safety Case and Hazard log reviews to verify results and correct process has been followed. Safety Management and Safety Culture: * Conduct a learning needs analysis for the full business to understand what each job role needs to understand and know regarding Safety and the Safety and Environmental Management Plan. * Consultancy to the Safety Manager to maintain the existing procedural documentation which details the process and policy for Developing, Maintaining and Reviewing the Safety Cases, Hazard logs and HAZOPs. This includes implementing improvements to processes as identified, tracking those changes and recording details regarding the reasoning for the changes. * Support the implementation of a Safety Culture and mentor people within the organisation. * Provision of optional training packages. My Client, a West London Local Authority is seeking an Asbestos Compliance Manager For a 6 to 9 month contract The role of Asbestos Manager is designed to support the organisations requirement to Manage Asbestos and fulfilling its obligations. Manage Asbestos Contracts ensuring delivery of services in a timely manner, maintaining budget and quality standards. The role is as follows: Operational and Commercial management of contractors and consultants. Management of budget and WIP circa +£500k per year Ensuring delivery of program compliance and the quality of delivery. Chairing and documenting contract meetings with supply chain. Provide progress performance reporting and managing KPI's. Staff management. Lead development and delivery of system improvements for the management of asbestos. Identify training needs, develop and manage appropriate training. Lead responsibility for data management and design of system improvements. Ensure certification is received and uploaded correctly into the Asset Register in a timely manner. Quality monitoring and auditing of surveys and removal works. Construct and publish articles for press and resident information. Provide advice and guidance to all levels of staff. Procure new contracts as and when required working with the necessary departments. Review specifications and tender submissions. Deal with complaints as required liaising with residents and staff. Ensuring remedial works and undertaken to the required standards and in a timely manner. Review and update Asbestos Management Plan and Policy in line with updated guidance and regulations and business needs. Monitoring and auditing the implementation of the Asbestos Management Plan. Manage delivery of survey programmes, re-inspection's and removal works. Liaison between departments as required Provide professional technical support across the directorate to ensure compliance on all aspects of asbestos management. Ensure that all information systems are appropriately maintained so that colleagues have access to relevant and up to date information. Work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation to ensure effective service provision and achievement of corporate objectives, including contributing to business and service planning, risk management and business continuity. Knowledge & Experience: Essential: BOHS P405 and P402 or CCP Qualifications Experience of managing asbestos in social housing Knowledge and experience of managing contracts and supply chain Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Excel and other Office products with the ability to produce reports Liaising with internal and external partners, suppliers, consultants and other service providers in a clear manner Proven experience administering service agreements, contracts, schedules/specifications, invoices.
