Solution Architect – London – 6 / 12 months Contract – Security Cleared Security Cleared Solutions Architect working for a world renowned Financial Organisation based in Central London to work on a 6-12 months contract. This Solution Architect will be joining their Architecture, Analysis and Consultancy team to assist with the delivery of their ongoing technical transformation, working on projects with a focus towards providing solutions to Complex Projects. This prestigious banking firm is going through a period of significant change and transformation with Technology and Data the key enabler and at the heart of this huge programme. This Lead Architect will be joining the company at very early stages in this programme of work, they will engage with Key Stakeholders, understand requirements, and put together the solution, before looking at the providers/technologies to perform these Solutions. Key Experience and Skills: * Security Cleared or DV Cleared. * Experience in IT Architecture, including application of Architecture principles to IT solution architecture. Demonstrating a broad understanding of a variety of technologies, within depth experience in providing Complex Solutions for Enterprise systems. * Solution Architect, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining an Enterprise Architecture practice. * Developing architectural blueprints and high-level designs that align to the technology strategy. * Ensuring that Solution Architectures are fit for purpose, deliver against the business needs and are architected appropriately for the longer term strategic needs of the business. * Developing architectural artefacts to support Technology Architecture team, including baseline and target architectures, building blocks and design patterns. * Defining and agreeing timescales and delivering against those expectations. * You will be actively engaging in identifying and shaping new solutions and processing techniques within the business. * Any experience in the Payments or Financial markets advantageous. * Any experience of working on CNI (Critical National Infrastructure Programmes) is an advantage. * Understanding of architecture and development methodologies and techniques (TOGAF). You will need a flexible approach to managing and prioritising a high workload and multiple complex issues and tasks in a changing environment with tight deadlines. Facilities Assistant Contract Portsmouth To self-deliver a seamless hard and soft service facilities management provision to employees and visitors. Responsibilities * Use of appropriate tools and equipment in a safe manner in order not to harm user or others. * Waste and recycling supervision for the site – ensure all waste is secure until collection by appropriate contractors. * Spill management * Offer additional support and cover for holidays/sickness as follows (full training will be given): * Delivering cleaning standards in line with British Institute of Science. Following correct cleaning colour coding of cloths, mops and buckets. (Full training will be given). * Use of cleaning equipment (Scrubbers, carpet dry cleaning equip/shampooing equipment/hoovers). * COSHH * Use of appropriate signage during cleaning or other tasks to alert others to potential H&S risks. * Waste and recycling control and ensuring that control measures are taken to remove office waste appropriately. * Ad-hoc tasks – Maintaining dish washers and cleanliness/tidiness of kitchenettes across the building. * Reactive /emergency cleaning tasks as required within appropriate agreed timelines. * Ensuring key areas within the building are cleaned more frequently to present a high class image. * Reporting & maintaining cleaning material stock levels and ordering via the correct procurement process. * Ensure kitchenettes are always stocked with dishwasher tablets/washing up liquid and sponges/cloths. * Dishwashers emptied/filled as and when required. * Report any H&S faults, issues or observations in line with H&S policies and procedures. * Wear and conform to the PPE H&S procedures when carrying out specific tasks. * Working and conforming to all legal Health and Safety legislation at all times. Data Migration Lead Developer required to start an urgent role to work on a key business initiative, within a global media company, to migrate data from legacy subscription management system to a new cloud based platform. You will report in this role to the Data Migration Project Manager and work closely with technical teams onshore and offshore. You would need to be available to start a contract early January (ideally w/c 2nd January 2018) and be available for a face to face interview on the 15th or 18th December 2017. Responsibilities - - Adopt and improve existing development framework, standards and best practices used by the development team. - Define and validate data mapping rules between source systems and the target CRM and Subscription management systems. - Review, refine and develop ETL processes required to push data from source to target systems. - Co-ordinate development tasks between other developers and ensure any data issues identified during development are understood and resolved quickly and efficiently. - Co-ordinate and review testing scenarios with QA Team. - Work collaboratively with onshore and offshore teams to ensure dependencies and technical challenges are fully understood. - Manage relationship with business stakeholders to ensure their needs are fulfilled and signed off. - Conduct regular code reviews and design walk throughs with the technical team and the Enterprise Data Architect. - Provide regular progress updates and flag any project risks to Data Migration Project Manager. Essential skills and capabilities - - Experience of working as the Lead Developer, with extensive experience of delivery data warehousing or migration solutions from inception to delivery. - Experience of migrating into cloud based platforms. - Experience of Salesforce and ideally some Zuora would be highly beneficial. - In-depth experience of implementing ETL solutions using Microsoft technology stack (MS SQL Server, SSIS and SQL) - Proven record of implementing development standards and best practises, including techniques for logging, auditing, error handling and performance tuning. - Experience of Performance tuning is a key for this role. - Excellent communication and ability to collaborate with business and technical users at all levels. - Excellent clarity of thought and ability to provide simple solutions to complex problems. - Experience of Agile development methodologies (SCRUM) and JIRA for tracking development workflow. Our client, a leading highways professional services provider, is currently recruiting for Highways Site Supervisors for a long-term contract positions in the South, South East and South West of England. As the successful candidate, you will work on a large high-speed road network, primarily working night shifts. Our client does provide use of a vehicle. Given the nature of the schemes, you will largely work night shifts in the role. Given the nature of the work, candidates must have highways experience, and specific high-speed road experience is preferred.
