We are looking for an individual with a passion for relational database management systems and a proven track record of designing and delivering data management and reporting systems for a diverse set of biomedical-related data-types.

You will work with the Senior Informatician at SGC Oxford to configure and deploy novel data-capture and reporting technologies developed over the last 14 years including both in-house application development and as part of the SGC's long-standing collaboration with Molsoft LLC. You will be responsible for delivering customised solutions to both external customers and internal SGC projects.

You will possess a graduate degree in bioinformatics or computer science or an equivalent combination of training and experience. This position would ideally suit an individual who wishes to pursue a career in data management within the life sciences.

This is a full-time fixed-term appointment to 30 June 2020 in the first instance.

Duties: Become a SME on our new platform, guide internal stakeholders through all phases of ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) to result in training deliverables (Course & User Guides, eLearning Modules, Animated Videos, Infographics, Tip Sheets, Marketing & eMail communications), LMS Administration, customize the logical and aesthetic design of LMS to meet Program needs, load & maintain content in LMS (ie creating courses, learning paths, users, training event schedule, attendance & completions, evaluations, notifications, activity reports), create appropriate and complete training data set for use in training classes and self-study practice workshops, formulate and carry out plan for maintaining training environment, coordinate quality review of all learning deliverables and distribution, and assist with logistics.

You will be working in an open (no cubes or offices) Agile and collaborative environment that is high energy and very fast paced.

Main Purpose of the Role

You will have the opportunity to work on the development and maturing of the cutting-edge Command and Control for the maritime robotics domain, looking at the issues around storing, displaying and interacting with data from unmanned systems.
SeeByte's solutions uses a modular, service orientated architecture which is required to process, store and analyse large quantities of data (2D and 3D) collected by underwater robots. The implementation will primarily focus on .NET / C# / MS Visual Studio with additional potential opportunities for code development in C or Java / Netbeans. Support and training will be given to allow you to develop and grow within the role as required and become a highly skilled specialist in software engineering.

This role is suitable for engineers with over 1 year commercial experience.

Required skills:

• Graduated with a BSc or an MSc in Software Engineering or a similar numerical degree (2:1 or above)
