IT Procurement Officer
Contract – 3 months
One of the North West's leading businesses are looking for an IT-focussed Procurement Office to join them on a contract basis in their Bury facility.
How long do they want me for?
There is at least 3 months of work for you here, in the first instance. Though they can’t promise anything beyond that, extension to that contract is likely.
When do they want me to start?
Monday morning. That’s how quickly they want someone in.
You’ll have a day or two’s handover with the outgoing Procurement Officer and then it’s right down to business for you.
What will I be doing there, after the handover?
In essence, you’ll be responsible for the sourcing of various goods, services and licensing within the IT section of the wider business.
You’ll have the ear of the Head of IT, advising them on the best options for the best value and offering.
You’ll put SLAs into place with suppliers, as well as procurement policies and procedures internally. You’ll put your negotiation skills to good use, as you work with providers to purchase and audit various products and services.
You’ll thrive on gaining up-to-date knowledge on the latest offerings to hit the IT market, and ensure that all is procurement documentation produced to the highest standard and in line with best practice guidelines.
Sounds good, what do I do here now?
