As a Sexual Violence Support Worker, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering much-needed support to some of the most vulnerable individuals in society.
Role Details:
Sexual Violence Support Worker
Salary: £22,500 per annum
Hours: 35-hour per week, Monday to Friday, from 09:00 to 16:30
Location: Neath office / Community Based / Home-Based
Contract: Until 31st March 2025 (with a strong potential for extension)
Start Date: September 2024

About this Sexual Violence Support Worker role:
You will play an important role in a therapeutic support service in Neath that is co-produced with survivors.
You'll provide survivors of sexual violence with tailored, trauma-informed support to guide them on their unique journey to recovery.
Your mission is clear: provide emotional support, dispel myths around sexual trauma, and empower survivors with the tools they need to heal.
Your work will not only positively impact individual lives, but also contribute to our collective vision of safe and resilient communities, free from abuse and violence.
Role Requirements:
Experience supporting or advising people who have been impacted by abuse or violence.
Skills in providing therapeutic support, i.e. a range of interventions and approaches designed to help individuals overcome challenges, improve their well-being, and enhance their overall quality of life.
A strong understanding of the impact that domestic abuse and sexual violence have on victims and their families.
You must hold a full driving licence and have access to a car.
