Responsibilities:
As a Network Architect at our client organisation, you will play a crucial role in designing and engineering DNS/DHCP solutions. Your expertise in network architecture will contribute to the deployment of DNS/DHCP solutions within a large organisation. Responsibilities include:
Utilising your previous experience and exposure as a DNS Architect to design and engineer DNS solutions.
Providing operational support for DNS and DHCP within a large organisation.
Working closely with multiple technical teams to identify end-to-end solutions that balance business, security, availability, and resiliency requirements.
Configuring devices to deploy new services into production.
Actively participating in the Change Management process and articulating high-risk changes to key stakeholders and LOBs.
Assisting in troubleshooting existing and new implementations, resolving issues identified in testing, and improving services.
Identifying and managing the mitigation of risks within the operational environment.
Ensuring documentation is updated to reflect new additions or modifications in the environment and handed over to Operations successfully.Essential Skills:
Previous BlueCat exposure/experience
Exposure and working with DNS and DHCP
Good working knowledge and understanding of Unix/LinuxNice to have but not essential:
Previous QIP exposure/experience
Python Scripting experience
Automation/API experience
Experience in providing operational support for DNS and DHCP with a large organisation
Excellent understanding of DHCP and Options templates
Experience with BIND & ISC DHCP
Experience in IP address management and deployment
Previous experience in lifecycle management for DNS/DHCP environment
Previous experience in writing and creating HLD and LLD documents for DNS/DHCP solutions
Python or other scripting experienceGeneral Skill Set:
Eliciting, analysing, and documenting technical application and service requirements
Creating and documenting designs utilising design patterns and standards documents.
Participating in the prioritisation and scheduling of implementation activities.
Assisting with the troubleshooting of existing and new implementations to resolve issues identified in testing and improve services.
Identifying/managing the mitigation of risks within the operational environment.
