When in the school, you will be teaching in a well-resourced, experienced department with brining Science to life at the forefront of the curriculum and ethos of everything they do. Ahead of 2024/25, the Science department are looking to build on a successful academic calendar. School trips, improvements to the facilities and an exciting new curriculum has led to students increased engagement within the subject. For this year, the department are looking for a teacher capable of teaching all Sciences to KS4 level.
Position: Teacher of Science
Duration: September start
Contract: 1 year, with the view to be made permanent.
Location: Havering , London
Key Responsibilities:
Teach engaging Science lessons to Key Stage 4
Assume the role of a form tutor, fostering a sense of community and support
Instill a love of learning through creative and interactive teaching methods
Create a safe and stimulating environment for students to thrive
Teaching all three Sciences
Developing an exciting curriculum
Full-time, 5 days per week availability
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification
Enhanced DBS clearance
10-year employment check
