Housing Support Worker

The vacancy
If you have life skills, commitment and compassion, this is the role for you. Bring your experience and understanding to work with people experiencing homelessness, substance misuse, involvement with the criminal justice system or mental ill health.
Your kind and caring nature, as well as strong practical skills and life experience, will make you the ideal person to support our homeless residents on their journey towards independent living.
As a Housing Support Worker, you’ll be working with residents weekly to help them with their goals and discuss their progress. We’re working with vulnerable and complex adults, so your communication skills will be amazing, and you’ll be a dab hand at creating good professional working relationships.
You'll be required to work at the scheme Monday to Friday, five days, 37.5 hours.
We would be willing to hear from candidates who wish to work part time, job share hours.
To be successful in this role, you’re:
* Knowledgeable of the housing support needs of vulnerable adults with mental health issues.
* Well-informed about the benefits of a flexible, outcome focussed and personalised support service.
* Enthusiastic and empathic with a desire to work with a vulnerable and complex client group.
* Proficient in literacy and have active listening and verbal communication skills.
* Self-confident using Microsoft Office word, excel and email.

This role will require an Enhanced DBS check and is fixed term until March 2025.
