About the role:
A development and investment real estate firm are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join the Financial Operations department. The successful candidate will be sitting within the Service Charge Accounts Payable team, reporting to the team manager. This individual must have strong communication skills and the ability to meet deadlines. Your role will be to ensure that all invoices and statements are processed accurately and are paid in accordance to agreed terms.
Job Responsibilities:
* Review, verify and process invoices
* Match invoices with purchase orders and contracts
* Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies when necessary
* Monitor and manage reports and ensure all payments are made in accordance with agreed terms
* Maintain positive relationships with vendors
* Address any payment issues or disputes professionally and promptly
* Maintain an up to date and organised records of all accounts payable transactions
* Assisting with the preparation of month-end and year-end closing reports by providing relevant documentation
* Ensure all relevant documentation is accurately completed
Skills Required:
* Strong understanding of accounts payable process and general accounting principles and procedures
* Proficient in the use of Excel, databases and any other relevant accounting software
* Good communication and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
