Hours of Work: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Term Time
Pay: £85-£100 per day

About the role:
As an SEN TA specialising in SEMH needs, you will play a pivotal role in our school community. Working closely with our experienced SENCO and class teachers, you will provide tailored support to children across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. Your work will be instrumental in helping these children develop not only academically but also emotionally and socially. This is a full-time, long-term role that offers a rewarding opportunity to build meaningful relationships with students and contribute to their long-term success. You will be working in small groups or on a one-to-one basis, using a range of strategies to support students in overcoming barriers to learning and achieving their full potential.
Application Requirements:
• A strong understanding of SEMH needs and experience working with children in an educational setting.
• Relevant qualifications in child development, SEN support, or a related field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
• A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach to supporting children with additional needs.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide one-to-one and small group support to children with SEMH needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum and participate fully in school life.
• Implement personalised learning plans and behavior strategies, working closely with the SENCO and teaching staff.
• Support the emotional and social development of students, using therapeutic approaches and interventions where appropriate.
• Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure consistent support for the child both at school and at home.
