Job Title: TSA Finance and Reporting Manager

Remuneration: Day rate From: £450 - £500 (Via Umbrella inside IR35)

Responsibilities: Finance and Reporting Management
We are currently seeking an experienced Finance and Reporting Manager to join our client's organisation as a member of their TSA office. This exciting opportunity is at the heart of their journey towards becoming an independent organisation. Initially a 6-month contract, with the potential to extend up to 2 years, this role offers you the chance to contribute to their transition as they drive progress towards a net-zero future while ensuring energy security and reducing costs for consumers.
As the TSA Finance and Reporting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the TSA commercial management processes including sales orders, monthly billing support, and commercial reviews. Additionally, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of data visualisation and reporting solutions using Power BI and the Power Platform. Your expertise will be crucial in meeting all governance and reporting requirements as part of the separation governance, including regulatory and internal compliance reporting.
Key Requirements:
* Direct experience in a broad range of finance processes and best practises
* Proven track record in creating, standardising, and maintaining financial processes
* Experience in IT project/product delivery financial environments
* Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively present complex financial narratives to both technical and non-technical audiences
* Commercial focus with a good understanding of cost and value drivers in IT and the business
* Customer-focused, adaptable, and willing to change approaches and processes for optimal results
* Ability to build successful working relationships and partnerships with senior business and IT management
* Strong attention to detail, ensuring financial figures are accurate before sharing
* Self-motivated and proactive, able to work well in a high-pressure environment and deliver results
* Demonstrates valued business partner behaviours
Qualifications Required:
* Educated to degree level with a recognised accountancy qualification
* Experience in a finance department, with at least 2 years as a Finance Manager or equivalent
* Experience working within Capex Project Delivery environments
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel, and experience working with SAP systems preferred
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build collaborative working relationships
Responsibilities:
* Develop, standardise, and embed project financial processes within our client's organisation, working closely with Portfolio and Programme Managers, and corporate finance teams
* Guide and support Project Managers and Solution Engineering Managers in adhering to good financial management practises
* Ensure adherence to guidelines on committed and transactional spend by projects, working with corporate finance
* Assist in the development of project forecasts within years and future financial years, providing budget overviews and financial options
* Collaborate with Business Consultants to determine the future pipeline of projects and its financial implications
* Submit approved outputs from investment planning processes, forecasting and agreeing on the annual budget and quarterly updates
* Coach Programme and Project Managers on best accountancy practises
* Act as a point of contact for financial queries from stakeholders outside the organisation
* Champion any new finance tools within the organisation, providing support and guidance
* Review portfolio submissions to ensure compliance with finance practises
* Assist in the creation of investment papers, providing financial challenge and expertise
* Ensure consistency in baseline cost forecast methodology between projects
* Manage central overhead allocations to projects, acting as a gatekeeper for rules on booking
* Oversee MSP Coreflex billing, approvals, and journaling
* Ensure accurate documentation of month-end narratives for key financial metrics, captured by project management
* Provide support for queries or reports from the CIO as needed
* Regularly reconcile and clear finance holding account figures
