Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Housing Needs Reviews Caseworker for a Local Authority Client based in North London.
In this role, you will conduct and manage internal reviews under the councils Housing Allocations Scheme, ensuring fair and evidence-based decisions.
About the role:
You will be tasked with delivering key strategic objectives:
Conduct and conclude Part VI stage 1 and stage 2 internal reviews in line with the Housing Allocations Scheme.
Draft and conclude written review decisions for both stages of the internal review process.
Communicate with housing applicants to gather additional information and keep them updated throughout the review process.
Analyse and evaluate information to make fair, evidence-based decisions on housing allocation reviews.
Ensure all review decisions are robust and can withstand potential legal challenges.
About you:
The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:
Experience working within the remit of a Housing Allocations Scheme, with a solid understanding of policies and procedures related to housing allocations.
Experience in handling complex casework, including managing and concluding internal review processes.
Strong experience in drafting clear, concise, and thorough written communications, particularly review decisions, which may be subject to legal challenges.
What's on offer:
Salary: £20+ph
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6, months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension
Hours: Monday - Friday, 36 hours per week
