Location: Remote with occasional travel to cleint sites.
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior PMO to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing project management activities, ensuring the implementation of effective project management processes, and delivering successful project outcomes in the utilities sector. This position requires a strategic thinker who can manage processes and drive change within the organisation.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Project Management Office (PMO) to ensure projects align with organisational goals and deliverable standards.
- Develop and implement project management methodologies, standards, and tools.
- Oversee project portfolios, providing guidance and support to project managers.
- Monitor project progress, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among project teams and stakeholders.
- Identify areas for process improvement and drive change initiatives to enhance project efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, particularly within the utilities sector.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management on project status and outcomes.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practises.
- Expertise in the utilities sector, including familiarity with industry-specific challenges and regulations.
- Proven ability to manage and implement process change initiatives.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
- Strong Knowledge of the Utilities sector
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in project management
- PMP or similar project management certification preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in the utilities sector.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects and leading process change initiatives.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills
