About the role:

Do you have a talent for understanding and supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? If so, we want to hear from you! We are looking for a dynamic and empathetic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team. This is a full-time, long-term role, starting ASAP, focusing on students with SEMH needs across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. You will work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create and implement individualised learning plans that cater to the unique needs of each student. Your role will be pivotal in helping these students develop academically, socially, and emotionally, ensuring they have the best start in their educational journey.
Application Requirements:
• Previous experience working with children with SEMH needs in a school setting.
• A calm, patient, and empathetic nature, with a genuine passion for supporting children’s development.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
• A proactive approach, with the ability to think on your feet and adapt to changing situations.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs, helping them to manage their emotions and behavior in a positive way.
• Assist in developing and delivering engaging and accessible lessons alongside class teachers.
• Implement individual learning plans and monitor students’ progress, adapting strategies as needed to ensure their success.
• Foster a nurturing and safe environment that promotes inclusivity and respect, allowing all children to thrive.
