Behaviour and Learning Mentor

£85-£95 per day, depending on experience

TeacherActive are pleased to be working with a kind and courteous school on the outskirts of Exeter, who promote a love of learning by providing a supportive and engaging learning environment. The Senior Leadership Team are looking for a Behaviour and Learning Mentor to join them on a full time, permanent capacity. The successful candidate will embody their core values and make a positive contribution to the wider life and ethos of the school.

The successful Behaviour and Learning Mentor will need to:

• Be hardworking, enthusiastic and creative
• Provide 1:1 support to their students
• Have experience working with students from a wide range of backgrounds, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities / SEND, those of high ability, and those with English as an additional language
• Demonstrate an awareness of the physical, social and intellectual development of children
• Provide a nurturing environment that helps children develop as learners
• Attend to the students personal needs, and implement related personal programmes, including social, health, physical, hygiene, first aid, and welfare matters
• Invigilate, administrate, and prove access arrangement support for routine tests and exams
