Finance Manager required by a leading West London local authority in their parking finance team that will be responsible for leading on tasks and responsibilities that make up the finance and debt operation. The Parking finance team will help provide information and support to achieve this transformational change.
This is a full time 12 month fixed term contract role – salary circa £58,000 to £64,000 pro rata plus benefits – offices located in West London area (within easy reach of 3 London Underground stations) – hybrid working role.
Areas of focus: to support the Head of Finance in achieving the most effective use of financial resources through forward planning, financial management, monitoring and control, lead, coordinate and control the day to day provision of an integrated financial and management accounting service and contribute to the formulation and implementation of financial strategy and policy and contribute to major projects within the organisation and with partner organisations.
Duties include:
Contracts Monitoring
Data Analytics, Power BI & Tableau reporting
Management of 3 finance & debt officers
Working with the Head of Finance on all corporate reporting
Working with individual Parking services on various projects from a finance perspective
Assist the Head of Finance in setting long term strategic financial goals
To lead on CRMs, closing and the estimates process
Key requirements:
Experience of working in Local Authority Finance is essential, parking experience is preferred.
CCAB qualified accountant or qualified Accounting Technician with significant relevant experience.
Advanced data analytics skills focusing on Power BI, Tableau, and Excel
Experience in contract monitoring and the setting up of performance indicators
Good interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
Ability to maintain high levels of motivation and attention to detail
Ability to work proactively within a team and adopt a collaborative working ethos
