Job Title: Contract Electronics Engineer

(Hardware Design Engineer / Electronic Design Engineer)

Duration: 6 months rolling contract

Immediate start available

Fantastic opportunity for a motivated Electronics Engineer / Hardware Engineer to support the electronics aspects of cutting-edge new product development projects and supporting ongoing electronic development for legacy products whilst working with a team of bright, highly motivated multi-disciplined engineers.

As Electronics Engineer / Electronic Design Engineer you will have responsibility for the electronics element of NPI / R&D projects as well as ongoing sustainment support. You will have a practical mind-set supporting all aspects from building initial prototypes through to ongoing testing and refining the designs as you go. You will also problem-solve / troubleshoot electronics problems that arise in production or in the field.

You will have the opportunity to drive developments in new and sometimes uncharted directions; to challenge and to be challenged, to create and to innovate.

To succeed in this interesting, highly autonomous role you will ideally have proven electronic design / hardware engineering experience (or have experience across the following areas)

• A working knowledge of managing NPI / new product designs into manufacture.
• Analogue and digital design
• The ability to problem-solve / troubleshoot electronics problems .
• PCB layout / schematic capture (Altium, Ordcad or similar)
• DFM - designing for manufacture as well as test (DFT) and cost
• The ability to work with suppliers and development to both identity and come up with solutions to improve cost, overall manufacturability or quality of products
