Position: Commercial Waste Manager
Rate: £19 per hour (Negotiable)
Contract Duration: May 2025 (with possible extension)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm
Key Responsibilities:
To be accountable for the management of the commercial waste teams encompassing both the office and the operational staff to ensure that resources are deployed effectively and ensuring a high level of customer service is maintained at all times.
The role holder will be accountable for taking a lead in developing a range of commercial services to include commercial waste and recycling, as well as developing and implementing new revenue generation initiatives. Job Requirements:
Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
At least 2 years’ experience within a Waste Manager role or equivalent.
Excellent customer service skills with proven ability to communicate effectively (both written and verbal), in particular when resolving complaints and other matters.
Management experience
Good awareness of Health and Safety legislation in the workplace
