Logistics Administrator
Cannock
Monday to Friday
8am - 5pm
***Please note this is a 6-8 month FTC to cover maternity leave***
Duties:
* Planning & Control
* Movement & Storage
* General Logistics optimisation
* Developing transport schedules, methods, and routes
* Cargo planning, and strategies to improve depot/ logistics service centre operations
* Analysing and projecting transportation costs
* Coordinating customs clearances and permits
* Planning addresses capacity issues and production location decisions in support of business goals
* Administration of mobilisation and de-mobilisation / delivery of equipment and material to all new and existing project sites across defined territories, ensure submission of necessary documentation and update relevant systems and databases
* Ensure correct documentation of import and export processes for all materials and related equipment, liaising with appropriate authorities, as necessary
* Administration of required cargo/driver documentation and certifications
* Responsible for collection and delivery of equipment to and from customer sites
* Develop and maintain direct lines of communication with all transport suppliers to ensure all requirements are met
* Produce relevant performance monitoring data with regard to On Time In Full and transport recoveries
* Identify suitable equipment to fulfil contract requirements.
Experience required:
* Logistics experience preferred
* Strong administration skills a MUST
* Great Customer Service skills
* Working within a team you will need a 'can do' attitude as well as being friendly, people focussed and easy going and used to working in a busy office team. Good mixed age group within the team
* Excellent attention to detail
