The Project
As an experienced Site Manager, you will manage a team of assistants, tradesmen and subcontractors on a new build car dealership showroom in Glasgow. You will oversee works including externals, concrete and steel frame packages with a build value totalling £3m. You will have a crucial role in the successful completion of the project by ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations and carefully managing documentation as well as progress reports for stakeholders.
Requirements
For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;
Black CSCS Card / NVQ Level 6 or 7
SMSTS
First Aid
Temporary Works CoordinatorIt is also essential that you hold the experience below;
Extensive background within the industry with at least 5 years of experience working as a Site Manager or in a Similar position on projects in excess of £10m+
Strong history of working as a Site Manager on commercial projects
Previous experience of managing packages such as externals, groundworks, steel frames and internal fit outAdditional skills;
Superb negotiation abilities
Competent IT / software skills
Extensive Health and Safety knowledge
Effective communication skills, verbal and written
Ability to organise and manage project schedules
A solid understanding of relevant regulations and standards
Proven ability to lead, support, and direct a team effectively
In-depth understanding of construction methods, materials, and building processes

Liaise with external contractors
Chair and attend regular site meetings
Report and work closely with Contracts Manager
Coordinate tasks among various construction phases
Handle any arising issues or conflicts throughout the project duration
Keep track of project expenditures, remaining within budget constraints
Adhere to health and safety regulations and policies during all work operations
Communicate regularly and effectively maintaining strong relationships with clients
Recognise possible threats to the project, implementing strategies to address them
Monitor resources, such as equipment and materials, ensuring they are used efficiently
Manage daily site activities, overseeing the supervision of workers, sub-contractors and suppliers
Create comprehensive project plans, encompassing schedules, resource allocation, and financial outlines
Managing resources such as materials, equipment, and labor to ensure they are used efficiently and effectively
Serve as the main point on contact between project team, clients and stakeholders, delivering frequent progress updates
Keeping accurate records of all aspects of the project, including contracts, permits, change orders, and correspondence
Foster and sustain positive client relationships by addressing their concerns and ensuring their satisfaction with the project's progress
Organise and supervise inspections conducted by regulatory authorities, ensuring necessary corrections or adjustments are promptly addressed
