About the role: Are you a passionate and experienced HLTA ready to make a real impact on the lives of students with severe SEN needs, including ASD? We have a fantastic opportunity for you to join a warm and welcoming primary school in Ealing, where you’ll be a valued part of a supportive team dedicated to fostering a nurturing environment for every child. As an HLTA, you’ll be instrumental in providing one-on-one support and tailored interventions to help students with special educational needs thrive. Working across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, your role will involve collaborating with class teachers to create inclusive lesson plans, leading small group sessions, and delivering engaging activities that inspire confidence and progress in every child. Your experience with SEN, particularly ASD, will be key in supporting students with varying needs, helping them to overcome challenges and reach their full potential. We’re looking for someone with empathy, patience, and the ability to form meaningful relationships with both students and staff.

Application Requirements:
• Prior experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) or in a similar role supporting students with severe SEN needs, particularly those with ASD.
• A Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent. Additional training in SEN, particularly autism, is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, students, and parents.
• A compassionate approach with the ability to build trusting relationships with students to help them overcome challenges.
• Willingness to work collaboratively with teachers and support staff, contributing positively to the school’s inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide tailored support to students with severe SEN needs, including ASD.
• Lead small group sessions and activities under the direction of the class teacher.
• Develop and implement engaging interventions to enhance learning.
• Collaborate closely with teachers and SENCO to meet each child’s individual needs.
• Assist in planning and delivering lessons in line with the school’s inclusive approach.
