Job Description - Teaching Assistant - LSA - Croydon
We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Teaching Assistant, with a specific focus on supporting children with additional needs. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young learners and is looking to develop a career in Special Educational Needs.
Key Responsibilities -Teaching Assistant - LSA
Work closely with classroom teachers to support students with additional needs, including those with learning difficulties, behavioural challenges, or physical disabilities.
Provide one-on-one or small group support to help students access the curriculum and achieve their learning goals.
Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and adapting resources to meet the specific needs of students.
Monitor and report on student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
Support students during breaks, lunchtimes, and other school activities to ensure their safety and inclusion.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes the well-being and self-esteem of all students.
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events, contributing to the overall development of the school's SEN provision.
Ability to commute to CroydonEssential Requirements: Teaching Assistant - LSA
A genuine passion for working with children with additional needs and a strong commitment to their development.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to working with children who may have complex needs.
