We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a dynamic team in Rochdale on a permanent basis. As a key member of the support staff, you will work closely with teachers and students to create an inclusive, supportive learning environment. This permanent position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student's educational journeys, providing personalised assistance to those with additional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Work one-on-one or in small groups with students, offering tailored support to meet individual learning needs
Assist in implementing personalised learning plans for students with special educational needs (SEN)
Collaborate with classroom teachers to enhance the learning experience for all students
Support students in developing their social, emotional, and academic skills
Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents
Foster a positive, encouraging atmosphere in the classroom and during extracurricular activitiesRequirements:
Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, or similar role is desirable
Experience working with children with SEN or learning difficulties is a plus
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students achieve their potential
