About the Role:
We are recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded early years setting in Canterbury that is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner. The ideal candidate will be Level 3 qualified and committed to supporting children's development in a nurturing and engaging environment. You will play a key role in delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, fostering a love for learning, and ensuring each child reaches their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver a range of fun and stimulating activities, tailored to children’s individual needs and interests
Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
Ensure children’s social, emotional, and developmental needs are met in line with the EYFS framework
Observe, assess, and record each child’s progress, working collaboratively with parents and carers
Promote positive behaviour and develop key relationships with both children and parents
Maintain a high standard of health and safety, safeguarding, and child protection procedures
Requirements:
Level 3 qualification in Early Years (such as NVQ Level 3, CACHE Level 3 Diploma, or equivalent)
Previous experience working in an early years setting is desirable
Sound knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and child development
Excellent communication and organisational skills
A passion for fostering children’s growth, creativity, and independence
Ability to work well in a team and build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)
