SEN Teaching Assistant

Tradewind Recruitment is recruiting for a Behaviour Mentor for a secondary school for an immediate start, for the full academic year 2024/25.

The School

The school is based in Haringey borough, North London. This is a Church of England school with an "outstanding" Ofsted, a dedicated team and is very popular locally.

The school is on a reliable bus route and is a 15 minute walk from the nearest underground station. Limited on-road parking is also available.

The Role

The Headteacher is seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to work in class with pupils in different year groups. The school is seeking someone to work with students who have behavioural needs(EBD) and who require additional support when working in class.

You should have experience of working with students with similar needs and have a calm, firm but fair and positive approach and also be able to provide strategies to help the students manage challenging events at school, to help them become able to manage and balance their own behaviour.

Additionally, if you have great Maths or Science experience, this would be very welcome.

The salary for this SEN Teaching Assistant role will be £90-100 per day and the role is full time, term time only.
