Are you ready to take a leading role in shaping the future of housing in Central Bedfordshire? We are seeking a talented Housing Surveyor to join our team at Central Bedfordshire Council. This permanent position offers a competitive salary range of GBP45.00 - GBP48.00 per annum and the flexibility of hybrid working. As part of our Repairs, Voids, and Maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in inspecting homes to prioritize repairs, adaptations, and improvement work, ensuring our residents have safe and comfortable living environments.

Manage diverse workloads, often to defined timescales, on a range of projects.

Take the lead on design, procurement, and administration of various refurbishment, responsive repairs, and cyclical maintenance projects.

Contribute directly to enhancing the quality of housing and living standards for our community. Preferred Requirements:

Proven experience in prioritizing and managing repair projects in housing or similar environments.

Demonstrated ability to work independently, managing the full project lifecycle from design through to completion.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, ensuring smooth collaboration with various teams and suppliers.

Excellent problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail in identifying structural and maintenance issues.

Proficiency in using relevant software and technology to support surveying and project management tasks. Preferred Qualifications:

Relevant degree or professional qualification in Surveying, Building Maintenance, or a related field.

Accreditation from a recognized professional body such as RICS or CIOB.

Valid driver's license and access to own transportation
