HVDC Technical Coordinator required for a major transmission system developer based in France
Responsibilities
Contribute to various projects in execution and tender stage and provide support in line with their individual experience and project requirements.
Support the lead technical coordinator in the power electronics assets team.
Analyse and review the basic and detailed design provided by the HVDC converter manufacturer on defined disciplines, to be agreed with project coordinator.
Review maintenance documents from manufacturer.
Review the HVDC converter manufacturer specifications towards its sub-suppliers.
Check document consistency from HVDC converter manufacturer, in compliance with Employer's technical specifications and Employer's internal documents.
Build a technical project schedule:
With the different execution stages (design, FAT, SAT, etc.), including needed resources and expertise, based on past projects and his/her own experience.
Highlight critical phases and deliverables from the team's core business perspective
Contribute to the management of interfaces within expertise fields under coordination thanks to the global overview.
Participate in technical meeting with the HVDC converter manufacturer and in internal project and technical meetings.
Coordinate and discuss with technical experts on various topics, e.g.: high-voltage equipment, low voltage equipment, HVDC C&P design, transient and harmonic studies, interfaces, IT, cybersecurity, etc.
Perform technico-economic studies to advise for technical arbitrage during project execution.
Share the lessons learnt to other projects among the team.
Technical schedule and associated resources.
Dedicated studies for topics to be arbitrated.
Lessons learnt and technical specification justification on modified/clarified requirements.
Periodic reporting toward lead project coordinator for project tasks.Requirements
Good knowledge of HV equipment and its auxiliaries.
Project coordination.
Electrical knowledge of HVDC Converter Stations.
Knowledge in high voltage/substation engineering and design.
Knowledge in other disciplines related to Converter Stations is a plus, e.g.: valve submodules, capacitors, reactors, transformers, insulation coordination, dynamic studies, harmonics, auxiliary system linked to HVDC Converter Station (e.g.: HVA/C, cooling, etc.).
Experience in execution phase of an EPCI project.
Fluent in English. Proficiency of French is a plus.
Ability to identify technical issues in a technically complex environment
