Activities Coordinator
Location: Lewes, BN8 4EF
Salary: £24,126 (37hrs) - Full time equvilient
Job Type: Fixed Term Contract, 6 months

The Role
You will be planning and delivering engaging fun and developmental activity sessions to adults with complex needs.
* Plan activities and sessions you’d be involved with which could be; cooking, arts/games/ music and other activities club within the leisure and skills centre.
* Prepare workspaces and equipment in advance of session start times, as well as ensuring workspace is kept tidy at all times.
* Implement and comply with health and safety procedures, in relation to the equipment used and activities undertaken.
* Maintain cooking equipment to a high standard and arrange repair / replacement of items.
* Work in accordance with food hygiene regulations and mandatory training
* Complete all admin duties associated with the role
* Prepare information/data required by senior managers for reports/papers
* Provide different forms in different formats (email, written, verbal)
* Document and celebrate achievements and activities completed by individuals’ accessing sessions
* Evaluate event/activity feedback to assess effectiveness/opportunities for improvement
Skills and Qualifications
Essential:
* Previous experience planning and running activities
* GCSE Grade C or above, or equivalent, in Maths and English
* Food Hygiene level 2 or willingness to work towards
* First Aid qualification or willingness to work towards
* Able to support children and young adults to participate in a range of activities.
* Highly organised, and able to multi-task.
Other useful skills and experience:
* Experience of working with children and/or adults with special educational needs and complex disabilities
* Practical experience/understanding of young people with disabilities and barriers and how to apply to arranging activities and events
