TeacherActive is excited to be supporting a range of schools across Essex in their search for talented Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs). We are seeking both part-time and full-time HLTAs to join our team and make a real difference in local schools.
As a HLTA you will be required to deliver high-quality instruction, fostering student growth, and working with colleagues to improve students' learning experiences are all important tasks for a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant. You will be able to assist in developing the curriculum, mentor other staff members, and conduct class lectures.
Everyone employed by a school must have an upgraded DBS on file with the updating service. If you don't, we can help by providing you with a direct application link. An OSPC (Overseas Police Check) is required if you have worked abroad for more than six months in the last five years. All school environments will need to have these as a safeguarding measure.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist teachers in the delivery of lessons across various key stages.
Lead small group activities and provide one-on-one support to students.
Plan and deliver engaging lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
Support pupils with diverse learning needs to help them reach their full potential.
Contribute to the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
Foster a positive learning environment, ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.
Requirements:
Previous experience working as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant or relevant experience in education.
HLTA qualification or equivalent is preferred, but not essential for the right candidate.
A passion for supporting young people and helping them succeed academically.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
A commitment to promoting a positive learning environment for all students.
