Rate: £435.75p/d
Employment Type: 3 month rolling contract
About Us: I'm excited to share an excellent opportunity with Stoke on Trent City Council, where we are dedicated to delivering high-quality housing services to our community. We are looking for a talented Housing Repairs and Maintenance Project Manager to lead the reintegration of our repairs and maintenance service back into council control.
Role Overview: As the Housing Repairs and Maintenance Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in a significant initiative that aims to enhance our service delivery. You will oversee the planning, implementation, and monitoring of this programme, ensuring a smooth transition through effective management of multiple workstreams.
Key Responsibilities:
·Project Management: Lead the day-to-day delivery of the project, encompassing eight workstreams to facilitate a seamless transition.
·Stakeholder Engagement: Drive employee engagement initiatives, manage communication strategies, and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders, including Trade Union representatives.
·Governance and Due Diligence: Support the Programme Lead in governance arrangements and ensure that all due diligence activities are completed and accessible.
·Monitoring and Reporting: Track project progress, identify risks, and develop a risk register to ensure objectives are met on time and within budget.
·Team Leadership: Provide leadership and support to the project team, fostering collaboration and communication to achieve programme objectives.
·Operational Expertise: Ensure professional input is provided throughout the programme, focusing on building maintenance, housing regulations, and service delivery.
Skills and Qualifications:
·Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., law, public/business administration, finance, construction management) or equivalent experience.
·Proven experience in building maintenance and a strong technical knowledge of housing repairs and maintenance.
·Project or programme management qualifications (e.g., APM, MSP, Prince 2) with experience in managing complex, high-risk projects.
·Background in local government settings at a strategic level, with a strong understanding of housing policies and regulations.
·Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage teams.
·Analytical mindset with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
