BSL Teaching Assistant - Camden School | Full-Time | £90-£100 per day

TimePlan Education is looking for a passionate British Sign Language (BSL) Teaching Assistant with BSL Level 1 or higher to support Deaf students at a school in Central London. This role is a full-time, contracted position starting after the October half-term (week commencing November 4th), with the potential to become permanent in September 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with the Teacher of the Deaf, using a Total Communication approach to ensure Deaf pupils have full access to learning.

Provide support in both mainstream classrooms and the Centre for the Deaf, assisting with learning, progress, and inclusion.

Facilitate Deaf pupils' engagement with the curriculum and their participation in all learning activities.

Encourage independence in learning and other aspects of school life.Key Requirements:

BSL Level 1 qualification or above, with experience in primary school settings.

Understanding of the needs of students from diverse backgrounds, including those with sensory impairments and special educational needs.

Strong communication skills (oral, written, and BSL).

Ability to build strong professional relationships with students, staff, and parents.

Good organisational, time management, and ICT skills.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Why Apply?
