RECfinancial are currently shortlisting on an exclusive basis to recruit an experienced Management Accountant to work within our Leicestershire based Charitable basis on either a part or full time basis. The role fits firmly within the heart of the finance function and they seek a detail-oriented and strategic individual to join them. Main Responsibilities of the Management Accountant role:

Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, financial statements, and reports for all departments.

Bank and control account reconciliations.

Assist and review budgets, forecasts and financial performance.

Provide insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

Supervising the sales ledger function procedures.

Reconciling the fixed asset register.

Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Assist in the preparation of annual financial plans and audits.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Support the finance team in continuous improvement initiatives.

Assisting with the production of the statutory accounts, annual and monthly budgets and budgets reports.

Producing weekly and monthly sales data and profit and loss accounts.

Reconciling VAT monthly and checking that entries per the VAT analysis report are accurately stated.

Maintaining cash receipts and payment books as required.

Skills and experience:

Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred.

Proven experience in management accounting or financial analysis.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Proficiency in accounting software: Xero, Excel.

Any previous experience within the charity sector would be ideal but not essential.
