Position: Control Systems Engineer

Industry: Water Sector

Location: Portsmouth Area (Hybrid)

Contract Duration: 6 Months

IR35 Status: Outside

Rate: £46.21 - £50.86 per hour

Role Overview:

You will manage projects through their entire lifecycle, focusing on the development and implementation of PLC, HMI, and SCADA software in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and modify PLC, HMI, and SCADA software from the ground up, adhering to customer standards.

Provide expert advice to clients on automation solutions and optimal control system architectures.

Conduct site surveys and contribute to project quotations, including estimates for engineering time and materials.

Prepare necessary documentation for site access, such as RAMS and customer-specific forms.

Oversee project delivery from initiation to completion.

Essential Skills:

Experience with Mitsubishi or Rockwell PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems.

Background in the water sector.

Proven ability to handle full project lifecycles, including reading, programming, and troubleshooting PLC & SCADA application software.

Strong understanding of industrial electrical schematic diagrams.

Expertise in setting up, commissioning, and diagnosing issues in industrial networks
