Our client, a law enforcement organisation are looking to recruit a Criminal Law Disclosure Reviewer (Spanosh speaking) to work in a small structured team, working closely with the Disclosure Officers, Deputy and core investigation team to ensure all criminal law disclosure obligations are implemented as required.
Location: Flexible working, hybrid with offices based in Central London (Embankment). Possibility of full time remote if living outside of of a commutable distance.
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 36hrs
Pay Rate: £17.52 per hour
Start Date: ASAP (pending a security clearance which can take up to four weeks prior to starting)
Duration: 3-6 months with possibility of an extensionOverview
Undertaking a review of material on digital review platforms, identify relevant and sensitive material, as well as identify material capable of meeting the test for disclosure. CPIA knowledge and proven work experience mandatory for this role.
Reviewing evidence in financial crime cases both in English and Spanish. Responsibilities
Reading into cases and attend team meetings as required.
Undertake a review of material on eDiscovery digital review platforms, identifying relevant and sensitive material, as well as identifying material capable of meeting the test for disclosure (undermine/assist).
To review large volumes of material accurately and consistently, whilst meeting daily targets.
To identify material which undermines the prosecution case and/or supports the defence case, and to bring this material to the attention of the Disclosure Officer or Prosecutor.
To be able to recognise potentially Legal Professional Privilege material and refer it to the appropriate team members.Skills/Experience needed
Essential;
Proven experience/knowledge of the Disclosure process, and the relevant legislation CPIA.
Fluency in Spanish - able to understand complex legal and financial terminology in both English and Spanish.
Proficiency in eDiscovery Review Platforms (Document Review) and Microsoft Office programmes (e.g. Excel and Word).
Ability to understand complex and technical information.
Ability to prioritise, multi-task and work independently within a team.
Ability to work to deadlines and targets effectively.
Good written and oral communication.
Excellent attention to detail.Desirable;
