Job Title: Estates Surveyor

Contract: Initial 3 months
About the Role:
Southampton City Council is seeking a proactive and experienced Estates Surveyor to join our dynamic Property Services team. In this role, you will manage a diverse portfolio of properties, including acquisitions, disposals, valuations, lease renewals, and rent reviews. Your work will directly contribute to the efficient management of the Council's estate, ensuring the best use of property assets.
Key Responsibilities:
·Conduct property valuations, rent reviews, and lease renewals.
·Manage property acquisitions and disposals.
·Advise on estate management issues and asset management strategies.
·Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maximise property assets.
·Support the Council's strategic objectives through effective estate management.
Key Requirements:
·Relevant qualifications (e.g., RICS accredited degree or equivalent).
·Chartered Surveyor status (MRICS) or working towards it.
·Experience in property management, particularly within a public sector or commercial environment.
·Strong knowledge of property law, asset management, and valuation.
·Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
