Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant
A Special Educational Needs Secondary School in the heart of Brent are seeking experienced Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistants to support students with high functioning Autism and Moderate Learning Difficulties.

This wonderfully diverse Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ SEN School are seeking experienced Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistants to support students with high functioning Autism and Moderate Learning Difficulties.
The students at the SEN School are aged between 11 – 19 years old and are bright, bubbly and eager to learn in their warm, friendly School environment.
The ideal Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant will be confident in:
* Using PECs and Makaton effectively to encourage communication
* Working with students who have Autism
* Providing personal care
* Supporting students on a 1:1 or small group basis
* Providing classroom support to Class Teacher and other support staff
* Delivering an excellent quality of learning
* Liaising with parents and other members of staff
* Proactively encouraging students to engage in lessons
It is preferred but not essential that SEN Teaching Assistants have Manual Handling, Hoisting and Team Teach training.
This is a highly rewarding role at a lovely SEN School for the right individual with a wholehearted interest in working as a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to support students with complex learning needs.
