JMC are working with a MRO company based in Newquay, looking to recruit a new Logistics Operative to join their team.
This client is a leading MRO dealing with line and base maintenance as well as interior modifications and fuel systems repair and maintenance for both commercial and military aircraft. The company has been operating for close to 30 years, providing outstanding customer service and encouraging a warm, positive environment to aid employee progression.
This is a 4-week contract Position based in Newquay.
The Role
The Logistics Operative is a key role within the logistic structure with responsibility for the day-to-day provision of logistic support to both line and base maintenance operations.
Other duties involve:
- Ensure all logistic processes are followed at all times.
- Identify and advise on potential process improvement when applicable.
- Attend team planning and review meetings when required to do so.
- Conduct internal logistic assurance checks as per the logistic assurance programme.
- Attend the daily work allocation briefs with logistic shift leads.
- Ensure tooling and parts quarantine procedures are conducted as per BPM and direction given.
- Ensure that tooling management is appropriated conducted especially outside of core hours when the tooling lead is not available.
- Ensure that line maintenance is appropriately supported during each shift.
- Escalate all concerns to Logistic Manager or shift lead at the point of awareness.
- Conduct all work safely and in accordance with procedures and training and direction given.
- Conduct logistic deliveries when required to do so to both line operations and other sites.
Skills and experience required:
- Right to work in the UK
- Significant demonstrable experience of logistics operations
- UK Full driving licence
- A good understanding of process development within the logistic sector
- Leadership skills and ability to take the initiative and manage workload.
- Knowledge of aviation logistics and its key principles.
- Knowledge of key Microsoft business packages including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- A very good understanding and experience in using PROMRO.
- MHE License.
- High level attention to detail
- Adaptability to deal with unexpected or unique events and incidents
- Strong problem-solving skills
