Job Description:

SANZA Teaching Agency is proud to support a welcoming primary school in the London Borough of Haringey in their search for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to work on a 1:1 basis with a Year 3 child with Autism. This rewarding role focuses on helping the child to reach their full potential within a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide tailored 1:1 support for a Year 3 child with Autism, helping them engage fully in classroom activities

Implement strategies to support the child's academic, social, and emotional development

Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt lessons and ensure the child's learning needs are met

Encourage the child's independence and help manage any challenging behaviours with patience and understanding

Promote a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that enables all pupils to thriveThe Ideal Candidate Will:

Have experience working with children with Autism and/or SEND in a primary school setting

Be patient, compassionate, and committed to making a positive impact on the child's learning journey

Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a supportive school team

Have a solid understanding of SEND best practices and be proactive in following IEPs and tailored support plansWhy Join?
