Position: ASD Teaching Assistant

Location: Hillingdon - London

Salary: £85 - £90 per day

Job Type: Long-term, temporary

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:00 pm

Start Date: ASAP

End Date: July 2025

Year Group: EYFS

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide vital support for a child with special educational needs. The child has autism, so the ideal candidate should demonstrate a nurturing and empathetic approach. Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or with SEN students is highly desirable.

About the Role:

Work within a mixed-ability classroom that includes pupils with SEN diagnoses.

Offer tailored support for a non-verbal child to enhance their learning journey.

Lead targeted interventions as needed to promote individual progress.

Create engaging learning resources that stimulate academic development.

Assist with classroom organisation and tidying at the start and end of lessons where possible.Requirements:

Essential experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant.

A proactive attitude and the ability to demonstrate initiative are crucial.

Knowledge of PECS or non-verbal communication strategies is beneficial.

A Bachelor's degree is preferred but not mandatory.

This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable), and professional reference checks.
