Position Summary: Our client is seeking a skilled Cloud Solutions Architect to support the General Directorate of Material Resources at the General Staff. This role involves mapping the current IT architecture and developing future infrastructure to meet territorial and operational requirements. The Cloud Solutions Architect will work with the latest cloud technologies to design scalable, secure, and reliable solutions tailored to the specific needs of military operations. A security verification is required for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

Vision and Strategy Development: Define the short- and long-term information architecture and cloud governance vision, aligned with the strategic importance of cloud solutions. Ensure all solutions adhere to the client’s standards for security, scalability, and reliability.

Cloud Vendor Selection: Identify and evaluate suitable cloud vendors and services, ensuring all selections meet organizational requirements.

Migration Planning and Management: Oversee the migration of IT architecture to the cloud, maintaining compliance with internal security standards and leveraging new guidelines.

Cloud Governance and Architecture Implementation: Establish appropriate cloud governance and information architecture for data projects, balancing automation, detail, coverage, and cost considerations.

Service Development and Documentation: Contribute to cross-departmental service development projects by providing architecture support, gathering requirements, ensuring compliance, and maintaining documentation.

Collaboration: Work closely with other architects and external IT vendors to ensure technical decisions meet application needs and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

* ArchiMate – Junior Level

* Cloud Analysis – Confirmed Level

* Cloud Technology & Big Data – Confirmed Level

* ITIL, NAF, TOGAF, and UML – Junior Level

* Proficiency in process modeling tools (e.g., Sparx Enterprise Architect)

Languages:

* Dutch – Active knowledge

* English – Active knowledge

* French – Active knowledge

Experience:

* Proven experience in DevOps or Cloud Architecture, ideally in high-security, government, or military environments.
